Name & Meaning.

The name Peniel is seen in the Bible (Genesis 32:24-32). The name comes from a compound Hebrew name which is made of two Hebrew words:

PANEH which means “face” or “in the presence of”,

EL which is a short for Elohim (God).

The name Peniel literally means “in the face of God” or “in the presence of God.”

The Genesis 32 account in the Bible states that the LORD (Jehovah, Yahweh) blessed Jacob there at Peniel!

Mission Statement.

The mission of Peniel Baptist Church (PBC) in Aruba is to help the church members and visitors to be free to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is expected that the saints at Peniel will experience and express their love for Jesus Christ through the worship of God, the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, evangelism, and community impact

Vision Statement.

The vision of PBC is to reach the people of Santa Cruz, the people of Aruba, and the peoples of the World with the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ.

In obedience to the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20), the saints at Peniel will persevere in their commitment to share the Gospel and promote that sharing by others as well.
